Competent Person Training for Respirable Silica Safety, presented by ABC Keystone

As of September 23, 2017, OSHA’s Silica regulations have been put into place, and employers are required to have a Competent Person to oversee the day to day operations and to minimize the exposures related to respirable crystalline silica. Attend this seminar to gain the knowledge and skills required to be considered a competent person for silica, and will address the following topics:

  • OSHA’s Silica Standard
  • The role of the silica competent person
  • The applicable regulatory requirements
  • Identifying the silica-containing materials common to a jobsite
  • The hazards associated with silica exposures and the signs and symptoms of exposure
  • The means by which one can determine if silica is present
  • Tasks that most commonly create exposure levels at or above OSHA’s Action Level
  • Requirements for implementing a respiratory protection program and respirator selection

This four-hour training session is presented by ABC Keystone, and attendees receive a certificate of completion following the seminar.  Registration fees are as follows:
