Stevens College Masonry Program featured on Good Morning America!

Nov 04, 2019 John McGrann construction trades Contractor news

Construction jobs are in demand! For many students and young adults, pursuing a job in the construction trades offers an opportunity to match their talents and interests with a career that pays well and is fulfilling.

In Lancaster County, we are extremely fortunate to have Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology providing training and career opportunities in a variety of construction trades.  The Stevens College Masonry Technology program is thriving, with dozens of students in their two-year program and a new, beautiful shop in the Greenfield Industrial Park. Penn Stone is a longtime partner with this program (in fact Penn Stone president John McGrann has an honorary doctorate from Stevens recognizing Penn Stone’s many years of support).

We were thrilled to see them featured on a recent segment of Good Morning America – watch below to see the full segment, with appearances by masonry instructor Chad Hummel and former Penn Stone summer employee John Deslippe.
